Product Description Boe-Bot Robot 12-pack Plus Overview: The Boe-Bot Robot 12-Pack Plus kit is a complete one-box solution for teaching text-based programming and electronic circuit building with robotics, along with other STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) topics. Educators would choose this option if they want to obtain a classroom set with all of the popular accessories used with the Boe-Bot in a single order, at a built-in discount compared to the items purchased individually. This package includes 12 complete robot sets and three bonus add-ons to extend the robots’ capabilities, along with 3 sets of small replacement parts. After completing the textbook tutorials, classrooms will have enough hardware to combine sensing technologies for a variety of competitions. Ideas include line-following that starts and stops via remote control, light-seeking while using ultrasound to avoid obstacles, and clearing objects off of a table detected with a variety of sensors for different object properties. Parallax tutorials provide code and circuit examples for every piece of hardware in the kit, but we leave the integration of these circuits and code up to the student. Twelve printed copies of our 300-page black and white spiral bound Robotics with the Boe-Bot text are also included, and the full-color PDF is available as a free download. [email protected] to request access. The Boe-Bot Robot takes about 1-2 hours to put together. Each project in the Robotics text provides a unique new experience of wiring and source code tuning. Completing the entire set of projects takes 50 hours and is suitable for anybody over 13 years of age. The USB Board of Education (and BS2-IC) may also be removed to be used as a platform for other inventions and studying other subjects, such as physics with our wide variety of sensors. You can find Boe-Bot robots in middle and high schools, vocational schools and colleges, robotics clubs, and hobbyists’ homes. They are great companions for learning or teaching technology, mechatronics, and STEM programs. It’s also an approved platform for the Boy Scouts of America Robotics Merit Badge.
