Tanja Boyshort PDF sewing pattern: mid-rise women’s underwear for stretch knits

Description This listing is for a PDF SEWING PATTERN, not an actual piece of clothing.   The Tanja Boyshort has a classic boyshort style with the benefit of an enclosed gusset. Four different finishing options provide different rise and inseam lengths. Tanja is very fast and easy to sew.   Style A Mid-rise and medium inseam length with edges that are finished with picot elastic. Style B Rise ends at the natural waist, and inseam length longer than Style A. Edges are finished with 1”/2.5cm bands, no elastics required. Style C Longest rise and inseam lengths of all the styles. Edges are finished with stretch lace trim. Style D Shortest rise and inseam lengths of all the styles. Waist has a covered elastic finish, and a cheeky leg cut with a turned up hem.   Sizes included: Waist: 26-50” / 66-127cm Hip: 35-60” / 89-152cm See size chart image for measurements of each size.   Skill level: Adventurous beginner. Instructions are fully illustrated, and pattern includes link for a video on how to sew an enclosed gusset. You only need to know how to sew straight and zig-zag stitches.   Fabrics: Self fabric: Stretch knits with at least 40% stretch. Suggestions: Cotton/spandex jersey, rayon/spandex jersey, bamboo/spandex jersey, stretch mesh, stretch lace. Style B: for the waist and leg bands use a knit with excellent recovery and at least 5% spandex and 50% stretch, such as cotton/spandex jersey or nylon/spandex jersey. Gusset Lining: cotton jersey.   Trims: Style A: 3/8” elastic, such as picot or piping. Fold over elastic (FOE) can also be used. Style C: stretch lace trim, up to 2 1/2”/6cm wide.
